Older smaller airport. Seemed pretty chill. Even the workers were gaming. Update: on the way home we got delayed because a small plane was in a ditch because they're landing gear didn't deploy. They quickly announced that the airport was closed until they fixed the problem and they pushed the plane off the runway after pulling it out of the ditch. There was a pilot near me that said it was his friend's private plane that parks next to him. He found it quite amusing and quickly called all his friends telling them how he crashed his plane. We were able to make up the time in the air and they reopen the airport quickly.

The worst experience at an airport. This place is so small and backwards. Security was closed in the middle of the day, then the Allegiant people forced me to pay $75 to bring a regular backpack onto the plane. They told me that I had to pay an additional $75 or I would not be able to fly. I fly every Wednesday for work and never have I had such a horrible experience. I will be canceling the rest of my flights from this place and Allegiant airlines.

Worst experience in Airport due to staff from Allegiant Airlines. Coming in is easy but departing from this airport is a nightmare. A small backpack is charged $75 because it is not considered a personal bag. Only a purse is considered a personal bag. My family was also threatened to take our boarding passes away if we did not pay or even if we payed. The staff is very rude and need to be retrained. Threatening on top of not knowing how to do their job. Go with a different airline. DO NOT BOOK ALLEGIANT FROM ELMIRA AIRPORT.

Worst airport to fly out of on delta, I guess the manager there as I hear her name is linda she is definitely not a people's person as you can hear her yelling at her employee's at times without having the door shut. My personal thought is she needs to be let go and get someone else in their that knows how to treat the employees with respect. But I guess that's the type of employees they want working for them. I will be flying on aligiant Air lines from here on out.

Good airport- easy in- easy out. Security is fast. Free WiFi. The airport is freshly renovated and has even an outdoor courtyard for peace and enjoyment. There is also tons of seating near the gates. I hope more airlines add service.

I would hate to see what would happen if these employees worked at an airport that’s actually busy at all. I had to beg and plead to get them to actually try and locate my bag that was on airport property. Worthless. I will fly to a different airport and drive further just to not fly here again.

Luggage checking employee saw us coming, hurrying since we were running late. He walked away and came back 5 min later saying we just missed luggage check in and is too big for carryon. Then no sympathy and went back chatting with someone in the back office.

Let me preface this review by saying this I've lived in Chemung County for 33 years and the experience I've received at this airport the last few times I've flown to visit my parents have been the worst experience at an airport of all time. When people fly into this airport their entire experience is ruined as soon as they meet the lovely and entitled TSA agents. The elderly getting patted down if the metal detector goes off because of their pacemaker, people of color getting patted and going through an extra security prompt. Absolutely unnecessary things going on at this airport and only happen at this airport and Allegiant airline. No wonder why WETM states that Airport passengers down approximately 50%. I highly highly advise to fly into another airport and possibly spend a few more dollars to make a driving trip back into the county very disappointed and will continue to make this issue known.
